This course is 4 hours of in-class face to face instruction either a half day or 1 evening. 

Designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills in a team environment for professionals with a duty to respond. Teaches the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation including use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Completion Criteria • Demonstrate a working competency of all required skills. • Achieve a minimum score of 75% on a written, closed-book knowledge evaluation completed independently. • Attend and actively participate in 100% of the course.

Do I receive a CPR BLS manual?

Yes, you will receive the Canadian Red Cross Basic Life Support Field Guide.

Is it possible to take the Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy as well?

Yes, the Airway Management & Oxygen Therapy are additional courses that can be taken with the CPR BLS. The Airway Management takes and extra hour for an additional cost. The Oxygen Therapy also takes and extra hour and has an additional cost.
